NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- fuboTV Inc. (NYSE: FUBO), the leading sports-first live TV streaming platform, announced today additional programming details around its exclusive live streaming rights to the Qatar World Cup 2022 Qualifying matches of South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL).

fuboTV will launch a dedicated CONMEBOL experience where subscribers can seamlessly stream all qualifying matches and shoulder programming. To enhance the 70 live CONMEBOL qualifying matches, fuboTV will produce a full slate of original programming including pre-match, half-time and post-match shows. All programming, which will be available in English and Spanish, kicks off with the upcoming window of CONMEBOL qualifying matches on June 3. Several additional match windows will be held throughout 2021 and into early 2022.

In addition to CONMEBOL, fuboTV will also stream Qatar World Cup 2022 Qualifying matches from other soccer confederations through its channel partners, making fuboTV a top streaming destination heading into next year’s hotly anticipated tournament.

Soccer icons Carlos Valderrama (Colombia national team), Juan Pablo Ángel (Colombia national team), Mark González (Liverpool, Chile national team, among others) and Lucas Barrios (Paraguay national team), as well as rising media star Antonella González, will join a star-studded lineup that includes previously-announced legends Pablo Zabaleta (Manchester City and Argentina national team) and Melissa Ortiz (Colombia women’s national team) as hosts of fuboTV’s original programming. More soccer stars will join fubo’s programming as guest commentators throughout the tournament.

Additionally, Fubo Sports Network’s popular hosts, Julie Stewart-Binks (“Drinks With Binks” and “Ball Is Back”) and The Cooligans (“The Cooligans”), will present “CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifiers Preview,” a show dedicated to previewing each matchday.

Michelob ULTRA, the fastest growing beer brand in the U.S., will be the fuboTV match day presenting sponsor.

CONMEBOL qualifying matches will air on fuboTV’s linear network, Fubo Sports Network (three channels, English-language programming), or through a newly launched CONMEBOL Qualifiers network (three channels, Spanish-language programming). fuboTV users can stream CONMEBOL matches and programming in several ways:

New fuboTV subscribers

  1. Users of an English-language plan can add the CONMEBOL & More channel package, which will be available later today, to their subscription. In addition to CONMEBOL coverage, this package also includes eight other premium sports channels featuring soccer, baseball, football, basketball and more.
    1. New subscribers will be able to stream select CONMEBOL matches and programming through Fubo Sports Network on fuboTV without a CONMEBOL & More subscription.
  2. Users of a Spanish-language plan can subscribe to Latino Quarterly. In addition to all CONMEBOL coverage, the Latino Quarterly plan features the best in Spanish language TV from sports to news and entertainment.

Current fuboTV subscribers

  1. All current English-language plan subscribers (prior to May 26, 2021) will automatically receive CONMEBOL coverage in their existing plans.
  2. Users who signed up for the Latino Quarterly plan after February 17, 2021 will automatically receive CONMEBOL coverage. “We can’t wait for soccer fans to experience the South American Qatar World Cup 2022 Qualifying matches with fuboTV and Fubo Sports Network,” said Pamela Duckworth, head of Fubo Sports Network and original programming, fuboTV. “With our full programming slate of analysis, athlete interviews, highlights and re-airs alongside each match, hosted by some of the biggest names in international soccer and our own in-house talent, fans won’t miss a minute of the CONMEBOL qualifiers and the road to Qatar.”

In April, fuboTV announced a partnership with the 10 South American teams’ rights holders of CONMEBOL, strengthening its leading position as a sports-first live TV streaming platform and its offering of matches from the global Qatar World Cup 2022 Qualifiers. The top four teams competing within CONMEBOL, one of FIFA’s six continental confederations, qualify for Qatar.
